Years of Laptops for the Isa Mundo Foundation in Mexico
Some donation stories are about a single delivery. This one is about staying power.
The ERA network's relationship with the Isa Mundo Foundation in Boca de Tomatlán, Mexico, goes back to 2018–2019 — and it never really stopped. Over the years the foundation has received numerous laptops and computers through the network, including roughly 25 laptops in a single year.
Twenty-five laptops in one year is not a photo op; it is infrastructure. It means a steady supply of working machines for a community where buying one new is out of reach for most families. And because the deliveries keep coming, a laptop that wears out is not the end of the story — it is replaced, and the work continues.
Every one of those machines followed the same path: retired by its first owner, securely wiped and refurbished, then matched to a recipient who needed it. Multiply that by years, and a pile of "obsolete" equipment becomes one of the most reliable technology pipelines a small community organization could ask for.
Long-term partners like the Isa Mundo Foundation are the quiet backbone of the ERA network's international donation program, alongside Futed in Chile, MFT in Madagascar and Kompjuteri Nade in Bosnia. One-time donations help; relationships compound.
Thank you to the Isa Mundo Foundation for years of putting these laptops to work in Boca de Tomatlán — and for proving what a long partnership can do.
