Brain Care Centre

ERA Donates Tech to Brain Care Centre’s Elderly

We were delighted to donate a refurbished laptop to the Brain Care Centre (BCC) in Edmonton this week. They are a non-profit organization operating out of Edmonton and Edson, Alberta. It provides programs and services to adults who have sustained acquired brain injuries, and their support systems. If you have sustained an acquired brain injury, they are here to help you work toward goals and rediscover your identity.

This donation was granted to a client at the Brain Care Centre. This client is 65 years old and acquired a brain injury after becoming ill. He lost touch with his family and friends after his accident and this donation will help him reconnect with them using Facebook and Skype. This laptop will benefit this client by reducing isolation and loneliness.

Speaking with Erin Fast, Service Provider at the BCC. She mentioned, “Our client was very excited to receive his laptop and eager to say thank you for consenting to allow you to use a photo of him!” She further states, “BCC is going to be working with him on learning about all the new things his laptop can do. Thank you so much!”
